The choice of a glass tank or an acrylic fish
What are the benefits of acrylic tanks?
Using acrylic for fish tanks changed keeping the aquarium hobby for all. In 1800, fish tanks, mainly metal boxes with a face made of glass. Aquarists could only keep the fish from their own region, since they were the only ones available, and had to be freshwater fish because salt water corrodes the metal structure containing the panels together.
When silicone adhesive on the image appeared in the 1960s, metal frames ceased to exist and gave way to glass and people were able to keep saltwater fish in their aquariums.
Then came the acrylic. Acrylic aquariums is very flexible and tear-proof, unlike their glass counterparts. With glass fish tanks there is always the danger of breakage of glass if hit with a heavy object, creating a big mess water and fish all over the place. The acrylic tanks do not run this danger
The acrylic design possibilities are endless. You can convert any everything from an old television set to a gum ball machine in a fish tank.
Acrylic Aquariums are very light. Especially if we compare with glass tanks, acrylic tanks are very light. Of course, when you put water in it, the tank will be very heavy, but transport of the tank will much easier. Acrylic tanks are also very clear. The visibility of the fish will be much better than with glass.
Another advantage of the tanks Acrylic is the variety of ways you can find! Bow front aquariums are my favorites. They look much nicer after regular rectangular tanks. You can get the smaller your favorite tank or a giant betta fish aquarium for your wall. Personally, I like to buy everything separately, but you can buy a starter kit that has all of the gravel, plastic plants, lights and filters.
Obviously, acrylic aquariums also have their problems.
Acrylic can scratch easier than glass. You have to be careful when cleaning the tank and use only in special deliveries of acrylic. Scrubbers must be of rubber or plastic, not metal. Be very careful not to catch a piece of land with your sponge and scratch the surface of the tank with it.

Just make sure you buy fish in the fish specialty stores in good standing. Fish purchased at regular pet shops usually carry disease and do not last long. Is it bad to have 2 tanks of fish in the same room?
Well my room is starting to stink and I have a 55 gallon tank and a tank 10 gallons of there. I just have the tanks a couple of days so there is no fresh water in there. I added a little salt and medicines for my pescado. "My mother think that would create the mold .- What are some ways to make my room smell good again, "When I get home I'll wash the sheets, vacuum, all that, but How can I make my tank smell good?
Currently I have 7 tanks created around my house, and none of them smell bad.
