What Causes Cloudy Water in the fish tanks?
Are you having trouble finding the fish in the tank for water cloudy? There may be several different reasons for cloudy water in a fish tank, so let's take a look at the most common. These are the remains of new substrate, Bloom bacterial imbalance chemical, or even floating algae.

Another thing to consider is whether the fish are overfed. This can also cause the water to get cloudy. Just check the bottom of the tank for leftover food – that would be a sure sign of overfeeding.
Addressing fish tank as cloudy water from algae can be a pain because it will be thick and green. One of the best ways reduce the amount of algae in a tank is by adding algae eating fish. Leaving the lights on for long periods, encourage algae growth and sunlight shining on the tank so be sure to see the amount of lighting your tank to help prevent algae growth.
If none of the above helps you with fixing your cloudy water problems, you should continue with a test kit. The test kit is used to check the ammonia and nitrate levels water in your fish tank.
Once you have checked the levels, the normal reading level for nitrate and ammonia, both zero. If you have something different zero, then water quality is bad.
What causes cloudy water in fish tanks with open or semi-open style tanks? Many times these style tank, possibly, could have a debris filter stopped because of clouds to the water.

Water fish tank is green, but no algae on the side of the tank?
I work in a group home and there is a fish pond there. The water has been getting greener by the day. I cleaned the tank yesterday and its just the water that is green. The sides of the tank are very clean anything on them. We started with 4 fish and reduced it to 2. The first two fish died before the water changed. I think the other two fish Mollys. I cleaned the tank at all and I'm waiting 24 hours to place fish, which may be making the water green? Also my colleagues tell me that the fish will not live forever. So I wonder Mollys who are still alive. The water was so green you could hardly see it. I would just add that its not a window and there is a filter in the tank.
