Any tips for changing the types of filter in an aquarium?

I have a tank of 2.5 gallons of acrylic hexagonal with a Betta male and a snail mystery. The tank has been completely cycle for some time. The tank came as a package (TopFin Aquascene 2) with a filter plate. The filter seems to be working OK, but I keep hearing so many negative things about the filters of the Unified Group. It also seems that there are plenty of excitement surfarce of air bubbles in the pump and My Betta can not build nests of bubbles. I would replace the bottom filter with a gallon small 3 filter in the tank I have in a tank of 2.5 liters different. Is acceptable change fitler types in a tank cycle? If I do, I need to cycle the tank? Is it necessary to completely clean out the bottom of the tank, below plate UGF? Or simply remove the plaque? …

Of the Unified Group to suck in my opinion lol. I'm not very familiar with his creation, have spent more than 10 years since I had one, but is there any kind of filter pad in them? If so, add that to a new filter. Beneficial bacteria growing all over the tank, gravel (so be sure to clarify that only in a bucket of water tank used, not tap water), the decorations in the tank, and the filter media. So, if there is no filter on the pad of the Unified Group to go to the new filter, there will still be some benefits of bacteria in the tank. You can safely a series of mini, control levels and increased water changes if necessary. I completely clean the bottom of the tank because the filter bottom have a tendency to trap of uneaten food and debris under there, which can cause a spike in ammonia. That would vacuum the gravel well, remove the fish and about 1 / 2 water and put the gravel in the bucket with water from the tank used, then remove the bottom filter. Furthermore, the new filter in an established tank that has developed? If so, do not change the bag filter in which one, hold on and be not well-cycle. Good luck!
